About This Product:


This short course is a two-part learning experience. 1) Take the online assessment, Everything DiSC "Workplace," and 2) participate in a 90-minute virtual, facilitated discussion about the DiSC Profile.

It provides a path for reconnecting with yourself as you seek a higher level of self-awareness. In the process of taking the Everything DiSC "Workplace" assessment (often referred to as the DiSC Profile) and participating in the virtual session, you will have opportunity to learn to read the styles of those around you more quickly and efficiently.

  • Take an in-depth look at your DiSC style and your workplace priorities. 

  • Learn not only about yourself but how to work better with others. 

  • See where your behavior style fits within the DiSC model. 

  • Gain insights for communicating more effectively within your family or project team. 

  • Access your secure account within Catalyst (a Wiley online platform) where you can complete the assessment, and also return to review your DiSC profile in the future. Your assessment results can be moved over to a different account if, later, you would like to have your results appear in the same account as your family account in Catalyst or your department or organization account. 

  • Mastermind with others in a 90-minute virtual session with a certified facilitator of Everything DiSC Workplace to discuss the personal discovery experience, and ways to apply the findings in the workplace or within your family. You can select from either of two sessions in February 2022 - 2/18/22 at 11:30 am EST or Sunday, 2/20/22 at 4:30 pm EST.

This program is not only a great way for you to begin to hone more effective communication practices, but also a way to gain access to the full version of the Everything DiSC “Workplace” assessment without having to wait for your department or organization to bring the assessment inhouse for your team. This virtual learning experience is also an avenue for individually exploring the content if you’re considering having your family or work team take the assessment and debrief with a facilitator at your next staff retreat or workshop.

The “Workplace” assessment in Everything DiSC can help you, and your group members begin to better recognize the diversity of strengths that are represented, and to embrace one another’s strengths and behavior styles. "Workplace" is one of many assessments that are available within the portfolio of content in the Everything DiSC suite, which is a Wiley brand. A few of the other assessments in the portfolio that are available for your team (but that are not a part of this particular course) include: Productive Conflict, Agile EQ, Sales, Management and Work of Leaders.  

Your session leader, Vickie Maris, is a speaker, author, podcaster (Agile Digital Business) and team development consultant. She is an Authorized Partner - Everything DiSC® & The Five Behaviors®; and holds a facilitator certification in Everything DiSC. 
 
Her keynote talks focus on team dynamics and communication, and utilization of team members’ innate skills and styles at work.

Vickie has served in marketing communications and business development roles in the agricultural and software industries, as well as for a non-profit. She has also worked at Purdue University in the College of Engineering, and the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business in Executive Education. She has earned her MS Ed in educational technology (Curriculum and Instruction), and is also a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in process design.  You can learn more about Vickie at her website or YouTube channel.

Vickie Maris is a singer-songwriter and conference speaker on personal/team development topics. She is an author, podcaster and consultant.
 
Her talks and workshops typically focus on team dynamics and communication, and the importance of team members being able to utilize their innate skills and styles on a project.
 
She often uses unique examples from her life as a musician, and from her experiences training llamas and her Connemara pony.

Her newest workshop is an experiential learning event for teams that involves an up-close look at how musicians work together in an acoustic rock band. Participants get to be on stage (or near) a performing band, and then participate in a conversation led by a certified Everything DiSC facilitator to review the DiSC styles of team members as well as the musicians. It provides a unique way to better understand non-verbal communication, leadership dynamics, and the importance of role selection. The band is available to entertain during your cocktail hour after the learning experience if you would like to enjoy the music beyond the workshop.
 
Vickie is an Authorized Partner - Everything DiSC® & The Five Behaviors® of a Cohesive Team; and holds certifications as a trainer and facilitator - Everything DiSC. Earlier in her career, she earned her Master Facilitator Certification in The Basic Principles, Zenger-Miller.
 
Vickie has served in marketing communications roles and business development roles in the agricultural industry and in academia. Her two most recent roles were in continuing education. At the University of Notre Dame she was an associate director in the Stayer Center for Executive Education. While at Purdue University in the College of Engineering, she and her team developed and successfully launched the online, Lean Six Sigma certification courses and the online series in project management. She later served as director of graduate programs in Biomedical Engineering.
